When you bleach your hair, you use a chemical process to actually "open up" the scales that compose your hair and let the chemicals extract all the color from your hair. This process can leave your hair dull and coarse. I suggest you to: 1. use a slightly acidic shampoo (pH less than 6) to close these scales and smooth the hair shaft, and 2. use a hair treatment loaded with a substance that is called "ceramide" that restores the lipids that have been taken away by this process: example: L'Oreal VIVE Nutri Moisture shampoos and conditioners.

QUARTETO DE TOP & JENNIFER SCHRADER-WILLIAMS, FEI Freestyle

Quarteto de Top and Jennifer Schrader-Williams scored 65.00 and took second place in the FEI Freestyle Test of Choice Open at the 63rd Annual Del Mar National Horse Show Dressage "Evening of Musical Freestyles" in Del Mar, California on Saturday April 26th 2008. The Test was FEI Freestyle, Intermediate 1 2006

Early 2005 Jennifer began working with Jurgen Hoffmann of German Dressage down in San Diego, CA. The goal was to qualify for the Festival of Champions and make it to Gladstone, NJ for the small tour on Wistar and the Grand Prix with Phirst Solo, which she did. After three qualifiers Jennifer, Solo and Wistar qualified second in the GP and ninth on the I-1 list. Then Solo and Wistar were shipped via Fed Ex back east (Jennifer flew as their caretaker) where they finished ninth in the GP and fifth in the I-1 after three days of fierce competition. Jennifer said of the event, "This was an amazing year for me to come with these two fantastic horses. They worked incredibly hard for me and they teach me something new every day. I can say that I feel extremely motivated to work on what I can do better for next year and to continue to learn from my successes and mistakes."

After Gladstone Jennifer and Charlene decided to retire the beautiful Solo from High Performance competition. Now at seventeen years old she needed a lighter work schedule but was still feeling healthy, sound, and fit and wanted to keep working. So a wonderful woman named Paula Helm was deemed the perfect fit and continues to work and compete Solo today at the Prix St. George and Intermediare one level. In fact in her first outing at Prix St. George she earned her silver medal under Jennifer's tutelage.

In 2006 Jennifer and Wistar's goal was to go down to California and qualify for the newly developed Brentina Cup. This was a program for the top eight horse/rider combinations that were age 26 and under and competing at the I-2 level. Again they trained with Jurgen Hoffmann and also received instruction from Klaus Balkenhaul at all of the USET training sessions. They flew back to Gladstone, NJ for the Festival of Champions and successfully finished fourth. About Wistar Jennifer says, "I am truly honored to have gotten the chance to ride the horse of my lifetime at such a young age. I will probably never have a horse as special as he is. Charlene is an incredible breeder!"

Currently Jennifer is competing two of Summervale Farm's top horses. She currently clinics with Janet Brown-Foy and Conrad Schumacher and works with Debbie McDonald and Krissy Harrison while in California. Jennifer and Wistar will be working hard to reach Grand Prix for 2007 and his young son Warado will compete in the first and second level tests. She will be heading down to California in the early spring of 2007 and compete locally the rest of the season.

Her plans for the future? "To represent the United States in International competition. My ultimate goal would be to ride in the "Olympic Games" and I plan to spend my life working very hard towards that."

5 Tips for Living a Healthy Lifestyle

These days, everyone seems to be becoming more health conscious. We know so much more than we used to about what is good for us and what is bad. It is said that a little of what you fancy does you good and this does tend to be true. Here are five tips for a healthy (yet enjoyable!) lifestyle:

1. Eat a balanced diet

A balanced diet does not have to be a boring diet. Enjoy your meals, chew your food properly and eat a variety of foods, including five portions of fruit or vegetables a day. Too much processed food or sugary food can make you feel sluggish.

2. Drink more water

Water is such a basic requirement and so key to survival, yet ninety percent of us don't drink enough! Six to eight cups a day is the recommended minimum. We can live for several weeks without food but only a few days without water. If you don't like the taste, mix it with juice, sugar-free cordial or make hot fruit tea. Vegetables and fruit contain plenty of water too. If your urine is darker in color than straw, drink more water!

3. Take time out to relax

Relaxation is very important to a healthy mind. However you choose to relax - deep breathing, yoga, fishing, having a bath, reading a book - try to chill out for an hour a day if you can. Mental exhaustion can cause stress, depression and anxiety disorders. Modern lifestyles can be hectic - if you're not working, you're running after the kids or racing around the grocery store or doing something else. Relax! Breathe deeply. Even fifteen minutes of this is better than none, but do try for an hour a day.

4. Get moving!

There is no excuse not to exercise because there literally is something for everyone. Not everybody loves pounding the treadmill or pumping iron in the gym but anything that gets your heart rate up is a good cardiovascular activity. How about playing tennis, meeting a friend for a swimming session or taking up self-defense or a martial art? If you can't think of anything better, run up and down the stairs a few times. Feeling better now? Exercise releases endorphins, which cheer you up.

5. Cut down on smoking and drinking

Have you ever met a smoker who is glad they started smoking? Neither have I. It is the single most destructive thing you can do to your body. Drinking can be harmful if you consume alcohol in excess or binge drink but, like most things, moderation is the key. A glass of red wine has even been proven to be good for the heart. But too much can be devastating to your health.

I'm eating healthy but feeling extreme hunger. When do people usually overcome this hurdle?

I'm not dieting. I'm choosing a lifestyle change.

Hopefully someone wont tell you to DRINK more water… that is just stupid cause you said you were already eating healthy. You need more fiber. Your lifestyle change is the best for you. You might also need to up your protein for the amount of time you are working out. Im a woman and I need 125 grams a day if Im just sitting around hardly working out. If Im working out I have to up it and I wont feel hungry so you can look into that for yourself. Fiber and complex carbs are the best way to go to not feel hungry.

Im glad your doing this as a lifestyle ! It will last forever that way.
